5 Best Pizza Places Near Towson, MD

Craving pizza but don’t know where to order from? I used to have the same problem. Lucky for you, I’ve done the hard part (aka my favorite part because I love to eat). All you have to do is pick up the phone and make a choice. Here are the pizza places that should ALWAYS be your top five.

1. Pizza John’s

No, I don’t mean Papa John’s. It’s PIZZA John’s. The good news: Pizza John’s pizza is absolutely AMAZING. They make their own fresh dough and sauce used in their pizza and the cheesy taste of it all just can’t be beat. Named Baltimore’s Best Pizza and it’s not hard to tell why. The bad news: they don’t deliver. While located in Essex, MD, it’s just a short 20-25 minute drive from Towson. But seriously, it’s worth it. People, like myself, carve out special time to visit Pizza John’s for their signature pie.

2. Pasta Mista

If you’re looking for NY style pizza, Pasta Mista is the place for you. This local Italian chain serves up some of the best tasting pizza that you can’t get anywhere else in town. They even offer an array of signature slices including: Chicken Bacon Ranch, Chicken Pesto, and even Ziti and Sausage. Buy it by the slice or order a whole pizza, either way I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.

3. Pizza Palace

Three words. Buffalo. Chicken. Pizza. Pizza Palace’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza is OUT OF THIS WORLD. No, seriously. It’s the best version of buffalo chicken pizza I’ve ever tasted. I won’t buy it anywhere else. Conveniently located in uptown Towson, Pizza Palace is the best place for that late night snack (you know, the one you told yourself you shouldn’t be having).

4. Slice of Towson

Ah, yes. Slice of Towson. Home of some of the biggest slices of pizza I’ve ever seen in my life. I mean, who doesn’t want pizza the size of their head?! You definitely get your money’s worth here and a taste of deliciousness. Did I mention they have a late night pizza order window? They offer so many variations of pizza, it’s definitely what keeps me coming back. And trust me, Slice of Towson‘s pizza passes the New York flop test with flying colors.

5. Lotsa

Last but certainly not least, Lotsa. Stone fired pizza at its finest. I love Lotsa because they serve personal sized pizzas catered to your cravings. YOU get to choose what goes on your pizza. This means you can create a new pizza creation EVERY DAY (okay, that might be excessive but come on, I LOVE pizza). Fast, customized, efficient, and conveniently located in Towson. You’ll want to be sure to check this place out
