Why Your Next Dinner Needs to Be At CVP Towson

If you’re anything like me, you love a good local place to eat. I’ve told you all about Charles Village Pub – Towson before in my post 6 Best Burgers in Towson, MD. And while it’s true that they have the best burger in town, they also have a lot more to offer. CVP has hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had, so kudos to their chef! I have yet to be disappointed by the food at CVP Towson. So, here is why your next dinner needs to be at CVP.

1. The Atmosphere

The atmosphere in CVP is unbeatable. It’s a mix of a local bar feel (where everybody knows your name, Cheers fans am I right?) and a quaint restaurant. Enjoy drinks and a meal while classic rock and pop 90’s hits play, I’m talking Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Oasis, etc. (the good stuff). With added outdoor seating and a second floor to fit you and all of your friends, CVP’s atmosphere will make you feel right at home.

2. The Food

Obviously, I’m partial to talking about CVP’s food…because it’s THAT GOOD. Two words. Buffalo. Bites. CVP has the best buffalo bites I have ever had. If you’re looking to start with an appetizer, I have never had better nachos in my entire life. I’m serious, their nachos are loaded (they don’t call them six napkin nachos for nothing). Not to mention, you can get a small size of the nachos during happy hour. Be sure to try the Tiger Steak Flatbread. It’s honestly one of my favorite items on the menu because it’s so unique, you can’t get this anywhere else not to mention it’s delicious. And after all, CVP does have the best burger in Towson. Need I say more?

3. The People

The employees at CVP Towson are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. No matter how crowded the place is, they always make you feel like you’re the center of their attention. They’re incredibly attentive to your needs while you’re eating there (and to me – that’s customer service at its best). The people at CVP make you feel like you’re eating with your closest friends. So bring your people to their people and I guarantee you’ll have a great time.

And there you have it. Whether you’re looking for a place to eat with family or friends, CVP Towson is where you’ll want to be. Want the best burger in town? CVP is your place. Want a “feels like home” atmosphere? CVP is your place. I don’t think I have to say more, clearly your next dinner needs to be at CVP Towson.

So, what are you waiting for? Start making those dinner plans now!

5 Must-Visit Breweries in Maryland

Thinking about a place to enjoy a nice tasty beer and spend quality time with friends this weekend? Look no further than some of Maryland’s top local breweries. Last year, I went on an impromptu beer tour of some of the breweries in the area and I have to say, I highly recommend planning one of your own with your friends. It’s an incredibly fun day full of beer tasting, tours, and snacks (of course)! So without further delay, here are the 7 Must-Visit Breweries in Maryland (and yes, I know this post isn’t about food but quenching thirst is just as important as eating).

1. Union Craft Brewing

Union recently renovated their brewery and it is quite honestly one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been to. There’s a ton of space for you and your friends to sit and enjoy different craft beers. Grab some snacks and grab a flight (if that’s your kind of thing)! If you’re into sours, I highly recommend their Sour Deezus and Rough Draughts: Dark Sour. Another great craft beer to try is their Cide Project: #1 Cherry Berliner. So, what are you waiting for? Union Craft Brewing is the number one place to be (and where you’ll find me!).

2. Waverly Brewing Company

Waverly Brewing Company is one of my favorite breweries in Maryland (obviously the reason it made the list). Their taproom is a mix of an old neighborhood bar, art gallery, and lounge area. It really has that intimate feel as soon as you walk in – like you’ve just walked into your home. I suggest trying their Nitro Sour: Pineapple Upside Down G’oat or even their Pappas Pale (both extremely good beers). Or if a lager is more your thing, you’ll have to try their Batty No! So, be sure to make Waverly Brewing Company your next Saturday hangout with your friends, you won’t regret it.

3. Diamondback Brewing Company

Do I even need to say more? Honestly, look at that outside seating area (pictured above). It’s not hard to see why Diamondback Brewing Company is the place to be on the weekends (especially during the summer)! There’s so much space for you and your friends to enjoy some beers and fun at the same time. If you find yourself at Diamondback (which I know you will) you need to try their Green Machine or even their Missed Connections. Did I mention they also have Mario Kart? Yeah, so you can drink your beer and test your luck on Rainbow Road at the same time.

4. Flying Dog Brewery

Flying Dog has up to 20 beers on tap, what more do you need? They also have a food truck for when you want to grab a bite or two with your friends. Did I mention you can bring your own growler to be filled? Yeah, that’s a big plus. If you find yourself at Flying Dog Brewery be sure to try their Last Minute Gift: Cranberry Tangerine Gose, their Sunday Best, or even their Numero Uno Agave Cerveza. Honestly, all of Flying Dog Brewery’s craft beers are amazing so I promise whichever you try you’ll be sure to enjoy it.

5. Monument City Brewing Company

How incredible does that taproom look? Nice and spacious while the brick gives it that genuine brewery feel. Did I mention it’s located in a historic Baltimore industrial building? If you have a large group of friends (and who doesn’t when it comes to beer) Monument City Brewing Company is the place for you. Even if it’s just you and a friend you’ll feel like you have your own space to yourself. Be sure to try their 51 Rye or even their Rooftop Pineapple Mint Pale Ale. Also, and this is always a plus, there is live music every Friday night and food trucks on Saturday. So, are you on your way there yet?

And there you have it, the 5 Must-Visit Breweries in Maryland! So, grab your friends make a list and start your brewery tour, I promise you’ll have a great time. And if you get hungry after all that beer, maybe you should check out the Top 4 Ice Cream Places in Baltimore or even the 5 Best Seafood Spots in Maryland.

bmore licks.jpg

BMORE LICKS is one of the best ice cream places I have ever been to. Seriously. They have so many flavors and topping options that sometimes it can be hard to choose. Not to mention their ice cream mural on their building truly makes them a one of a kind spot (it’s perfect for that summer Instagram you’ve been wanting to post). If you love ice cream (and love showing it off on social media) you’ll want to be sure to make a visit to BMORE LICKS this summer.

3. The Charmery

The Charmery is one of my absolute go-to places for ice cream. And not to mention the best part is that they have two locations! One in Hampden, Baltimore and another in their new location Towson, Maryland. If you ever find yourself looking for a sweet treat, the Charmery is the place to be, trust me! Uncle Wiggly’s is one of the best ice cream places I’ve been to in Maryland. Did I mention they’re also a deli? So basically you can eat your lunch and dessert all at one place. How to Eat Healthy on a Budget – 6 Simple Tips

These days it can often be difficult to find healthy food that you really like and can afford. I mean, fruits and vegetables can be crazy expensive (depending on where you’re buying them). And while I typically write about restaurants I figured I’d switch things up for a change. Because let’s be honest, while eating out is something we love, we can’t always afford it. So, here are some of my best tips on how to eat healthy on a budget.

meal planning

1. Plan your meals

This is probably one of the most important steps to eating healthy on a budget. If you plan your meals accordingly, it will make things easier when you go to the grocery store. Also, it will keep you on track, help you make your grocery list (and stick to it!), and allow you to plan according to your budget.

fruits

2. Visit a local farmer’s market

The local farmer’s market is the best place to bargain shop for fresh fruits and veggies. The best part is knowing exactly where your food is coming from! Farmer’s markets are a great place to visit if you’re on a budget (which you know I’m always looking for the best deals). And even if you aren’t, I still recommend making a day of it and supporting your local farmer’s market!

fruit and veggie

3. Buy seasonal produce

This is another important tip if you’re looking to ball on a budget when it comes to food. BUY SEASONAL PRODUCE! There are a TON of reasons as to why you should buy produce that’s in season. The most important being that it’s cheaper (we all know the rules of supply and demand)! It also tastes better because it’s been harvested at just the right time.

meat.jpg

4. Buy in bulk – Visit a BJ’s Wholesale Club, Sam’s Club, or Costco

When it comes to meat I’ve found buying in bulk gets me more bang for my buck. This is why I love that I have a BJ’s Membership. I go maybe twice a month and stock up on all of the meats my household needs (mostly chicken since we try to stay away from too much red meat). Then, all you have to do is freeze them. I like to separate each piece of meat individually (depending on the type) and freeze them – this makes it so much easier than having to defrost ALL of the meat you’ve frozen at one time.

aldi.jpg

5. Make a trip to Aldi

Aldi always has great deals on their produce. If you’re looking for healthy snacks at a great price, Aldi is the place to go. Aldi also offers a ton of vegetarian, organic, and gluten-free options (if you’re into that sort of thing). I’m certainly not against saving a few extra bucks when it comes to my groceries, that’s for sure!

vegetable.jpg

6. Grow your own herbs and vegetables

The last tip is probably one of my favorites. GROW YOUR OWN VEGGIES. I am HORRIBLE at keeping plants alive but somehow I get lucky with my vegetable and herb garden. There is nothing better than picking a fresh tomato off the vine right in your back yard! I am all for growing my own food – it just makes sense (plus it’s convenient and saves you money).

And there you have it! The 6 tips to consider when you’re trying to eat healthy on a budget. While eating healthy may seem like an expensive alternate to eating out every night, it really is something we should all be mindful of. However, if you’ve read this and are still thinking about pizza and burgers be sure to check out  5 Best Pizza Places near Towson, MD and the 6 Best Burger Places in Towson, MD

5 Best Seafood Spots in Maryland

When it comes to seafood, it’s no secret that Maryland brings in the best. I mean, we have crabs, crab cakes, rock fish, salmon, shrimp, the list goes on and on. With so many options, it can be hard to find the restaurants that have the best seafood (you know, the ones that don’t have filler in their crab cakes). And since you’ve landed on this blog site, you already know I do all of the hard work for you (I mean, getting to try new restaurants and eat all the time is pretty exhausting…). So, if you’re craving seafood and don’t know where to start or if you want to show your friends from out of town that crab cakes and football REALLY IS what Maryland does, here are the 5 Best Seafood Spots in Maryland.

crabs.jpg

1. Skipjack’s Restaurant & Sports Bar

If you’re looking for crabs that are incredibly full and worth your money, look no further. Skipjack’s has HANDS DOWN the best crabs I’ve ever tasted. The medium sizes are so full that you would think you ordered larges (no, seriously). Their crabs are unbeatable, delicious, and will have you coming back for more. I should warn you, Skipjack’s is so popular that they will sell out of crabs so be sure to call ahead and reserve your half dozen, dozen, bushel (whatever you’re feeling)!

thames-street-oyster.jpg

2. Thames Street Oyster House

A true staple to Baltimore and Maryland as a whole – I absolutely LOVE this place. Thames Street Oyster House is one of the most popular seafood places so, of course, it had to be on my list. They’ve won multiple awards for their great seafood and raw bar. Any seafood you can think of, they have it. Their oysters are the absolute BEST I have ever had (and that’s saying a lot – I’m very picky about my oysters!) If you ever find yourself in downtown Baltimore, you’ll want to make sure to check this place out.

seafood.jpg

3. Mama’s On the Half Shell

Ah yes, Mama’s On the Half Shell. Where do I even begin? First, nothing beats their location in Canton, Baltimore. Not to mention they have an incredible brunch menu. But aside from that (we’re here to talk seafood, remember?) they have THE BEST seafood club. Trust me, I’m not just saying that (it’s true!). Their seafood club is packed with crab cake AND shrimp salad. I mean, does it get any better? Mama’s definitely has my heart and goes down in my book as one of the best places in Maryland for all of your seafood needs.

crab cake.jpg

4. Pappas

If you want a crab cake that’s lump meat (and lump meat only) Pappas is your place. Seriously, I won’t get my crab cakes from anywhere else. Did I mention you can send their crab cakes? Yes, you can send them in the mail to your friends and family who don’t get to enjoy Maryland seafood on a daily basis (yes, I’m talking about you folks in New York). Everyone I know loves Pappas and their jumbo crab cakes. So take it from a Maryland local and be sure to try their crab cakes for yourself.

shrimp.jpg

5. Nick’s Fish House

Last, but certainly not least, Nick’s Fish House. You just can’t beat Nick’s. Their location on the water is the best place for a summer evening happy hour with friends. Did I mention they have $1.50 oysters? Oh yeah. Nick’s Fish House has one of the best crab pretzels I’ve ever tasted in my life. And if you’re feeling extra bold, you might want to try their crab grilled cheese (it’s to die for).

And there you have it, the 5 Best Seafood Spots in Maryland. Now, go out there and show your friends what Maryland does!

The 7 Best Wineries in Maryland

Okay okay, this post might not be about food but if you’re like me you appreciate a good fine wine. Maybe this is the beginning of your journey as a wine connoisseur or maybe you just really don’t know where to start when it comes to wine selections. I mean, have you ever been in the wine section of a liquor store? It can be incredibly overwhelming, especially if you don’t know what you’re looking for (and that’s how you wind up with a box of Franzia acting like it’s the best wine ever made). The best way to start your journey is to figure out which kinds of wine you prefer by attending wine tastings. Lucky for you, I’ve been to MANY wine tastings and have narrowed down the 7 Best Wineries in Maryland for you (you’re welcome).

boordy.jpg

1. Boordy Vineyards

Boordy is one of my personal favorites. The outdoor and open atmosphere easily makes this vineyard number one in my book. Not to mention their array of delicious wines. They offer a range of events in the summer including concerts, farmers markets, and food festivals. Did I mention that you can buy a bottle of wine from their cellar and have a picnic in their seating area? If you’re looking for something to do on a summer weekend be sure to call up your friends and make a visit to Boordy Vineyards (you won’t regret it and hopefully you’ll remember it too).

basignani

2. Basignani Winery

The first time I visited Basignani was with my parents when I was a little girl. I told you I’ve visited many wineries in my day (probably due to the fact that my parents enjoy a good wine). Anyway, I digress. Basignani Winery is one of the best places to really find what kind of wine you prefer (my personal favorite is the dry Vidal). Conveniently located in Sparks, Maryland, they offer a variety of weekend events and tastings. And here’s a secret, if you visit Basignani with someone who’s a member of their case club your wine tasting is FREE!

great frogs

3. Great Frogs Winery

Located in the beautiful Annapolis, MD, Great Frogs Winery is one of the most scenic vineyards I have ever been to. If you don’t live near Annapolis, I highly recommend making a day out of your visit to Great Frogs. They offer live music every Saturday and a variety of events. If you don’t get a chance to visit the winery, don’t worry, Great Frogs’ wine selections are offered in many restaurants located in Annapolis

linganoree.jpg

4. Linganore Winecellars

Linganore Winecellers is located in picturesque Mount Airy, MD. Run by the sons of the founders, this winery is by far one of my top recommendations. They offer Music at the Winery every Friday evening. Linganore provides an amazing atmosphere of great wine, music, and food. One of the other interesting things about Linganore is that they also have a Brewery on their grounds. It’s the best of both worlds!

saint michaesl.jpg

5. Saint Michaels Winery

I highly recommend making a trip to Saint Michaels Winery. Saint Michaels, MD is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It’s in your best interest to book a weekend trip here. Enjoy views by the water and a vast amount of scenic areas. Their tasting room is open year round and they offer 18 samples. The best part is, each sample of wine is only $1!

serpent.jpg

6. Serpent Ridge Vineyard

Located in the beautiful countryside Serpent Ridge Vineyard is the first vineyard winery in Carroll County, MD. Serpent Ridge offers everything from live music to paint nights and even yoga at the vineyard! If you’re looking for the best cheese for your wine be sure to try one of their wine and cheese pairings. Two of my personal favorites which you should try are their 2015 Vidal Blanc and their award winning 2012 Vintner’s Cabernet.

harford.jpg

7. Harford Vineyard & Winery

I love Harford Vineyard & Winery not only because of their amazing selection of wines but because of their location in Forest Hill, MD. I think the most unique thing about this winery is that they offer wine trails. Basically, you sip and savor your wine while making your way through Maryland’s most famous wine trails. With live music offerings, farm fairs, and wine trails what more could you ask for from a vineyard?

There you have it! I bet you’re already starting to plan some of your visits (I’ll be waiting for my invite). So if you love to whine or wine (like me!) you’ll love these vineyards and their wine selections. Please, remember to drink responsibly and ALWAYS have a designated driver (get your first ride free with my uber code: brir81 or lyft code: BRIANA426243). And if all that wine makes you hungry be sure to check out The 6 Best Burger Places in Towson, MD or the 5 Best Pizza Places Near Towson, MD.

Happy Tasting!

CVP Towson has hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Seriously, I’ve never been disappointed. Even those that I’ve recommended fall in love with their burgers. Did I mention on Monday’s their burgers are half price? All the more reason to give them a try. I enjoy the Oldy but Goody but really you can’t go wrong with any of their burger selections. Grilled to perfection with just the right amount of savory flavors, hat’s off to the chef’s over at CVP Towson!

2. BJ’s Brewhouse

I don’t think I’ve ever had anything remotely close to bad food from BJ’s Brewhouse. No matter what I order it’s incredibly delicious and I always love it. I love their burgers because they will substitute any type of patty for you. My personal favorite is the BJ’s Brewhouse Burger with a bison burger substitute. If you’re looking for a burger that’s incredibly juicy, delicious, and cooked to perfection, BJ’s Brewhouse is the place for you.

burger-bros.jpg

3. Burger Bros

Burger Bros in Towson is one of my favorite local spots. They were voted Best Burger in Baltimore by Baltimore Magazine and it’s not hard to see why. They may be small and tucked away on a side street but their delicious burgers make up for that. So, if you’re looking for a local place with big flavor, you’re looking for Burger Bros in Towson.

towson diner.jpg

4. Towson Diner

This may come as a surprise to some of you butTowson Dineractually has a great tasting burger and it’s affordable, you really can’t beat that. Their Mushroom Swiss Burger is one of the best I’ve ever had. Also, they’re the perfect place for that late night snack because they’re open 24/7. So, next time you find yourself craving a burger on a Friday night, instead of going to McDonald’s or Burger King stop by Towson Diner for some deliciousness instead.

robin

5. Red Robin

Ah yes, the classic Red Robin (yum!). Red Robin has probably one of the widest selections of gourmet burgers I have ever seen. Seriously, there are so many different options to choose from. I’m always torn between the Banzai Burger topped with grilled pineapple or the Whiskey River BBQ burger (can’t I just get both?). Red Robin has perfected the art of cooking burgers and I highly recommend you give them a try (you don’t know what you’re missing!).

3 Must-Try Donuts From Diablo Doughnuts

Do you have a big sweet tooth? Me too. I can’t tell you the amount of times during the day that I’m thinking about dessert. Cake, brownies, cookies, pies, donuts, you name it. Seriously, it’s always on my mind. Everything except ice cream (sorry guys, I just can’t get past how cold it is!) But there is only one donut place I trust with satisfying my sweet treat cravings: Diablo Doughnuts. Conveniently located in Fells Point it’s the perfect location to grab a morning dessert and sit by the water. I don’t know what it is they put in their donuts but they are hands down the BEST of Baltimore (Diablo Doughnuts – tell me your secret!!) Okay but seriously, here are the 3 Must-Try Donuts.

1. Unicorn Farts

I know exactly what you’re thinking. Why would I want to try a donut with the name Unicorn Farts?! Let me put it this way, you’d regret it if you didn’t. It is one of Diablo Doughnuts specialties and best sellers. These Unicorn Farts are doughy and delicious with a fruity pebble topping that gives the perfect amount of flavor. I don’t know where Diablo Doughnuts gets their dough from but it’s the best in town. Unicorn Farts taste just as colorful as they look and they’re incredibly fun to Instagram if you can wait that long before indulging in them (can anyone say Diablo Doughnuts boomerang?)

unicorn

2. S’more

The name says it all. As soon as I finish eating this donut I just want s’more. If you love a good s’more by the campfire on a summer night, this is the donut for you. And with the crazy weather lately, I can’t think of a better treat to remind you of that warm summer feeling we all know and love (which hopefully is coming soon, right Mother Nature?)

3. Sin Crunch

A tasteful blend of cinnamon sugar and vanilla glaze all topped with Cap’n Crunch cereal. Need I say more? I mean, my mouth is already watering just writing about it. You just can’t go wrong with this donut and it’s the perfect breakfast treat! You’ll want to be sure to add this to your box of delicious donut selections. Did I mention it’s only $2.50?

5 Best Pizza Places Near Towson, MD

Craving pizza but don’t know where to order from? I used to have the same problem. Lucky for you, I’ve done the hard part (aka my favorite part because I love to eat). All you have to do is pick up the phone and make a choice. Here are the pizza places that should ALWAYS be your top five.

1. Pizza John’s

No, I don’t mean Papa John’s. It’s PIZZA John’s. The good news: Pizza John’s pizza is absolutely AMAZING. They make their own fresh dough and sauce used in their pizza and the cheesy taste of it all just can’t be beat. Named Baltimore’s Best Pizza and it’s not hard to tell why. The bad news: they don’t deliver. While located in Essex, MD, it’s just a short 20-25 minute drive from Towson. But seriously, it’s worth it. People, like myself, carve out special time to visit Pizza John’s for their signature pie.

img_0044

2. Pasta Mista

If you’re looking for NY style pizza, Pasta Mista is the place for you. This local Italian chain serves up some of the best tasting pizza that you can’t get anywhere else in town. They even offer an array of signature slices including: Chicken Bacon Ranch, Chicken Pesto, and even Ziti and Sausage. Buy it by the slice or order a whole pizza, either way I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.

cbr

3. Pizza Palace

Three words. Buffalo. Chicken. Pizza. Pizza Palace’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza is OUT OF THIS WORLD. No, seriously. It’s the best version of buffalo chicken pizza I’ve ever tasted. I won’t buy it anywhere else. Conveniently located in uptown Towson, Pizza Palace is the best place for that late night snack (you know, the one you told yourself you shouldn’t be having).

4. Slice of Towson

Ah, yes. Slice of Towson. Home of some of the biggest slices of pizza I’ve ever seen in my life. I mean, who doesn’t want pizza the size of their head?! You definitely get your money’s worth here and a taste of deliciousness. Did I mention they have a late night pizza order window? They offer so many variations of pizza, it’s definitely what keeps me coming back. And trust me, Slice of Towson‘s pizza passes the New York flop test with flying colors.

5. Lotsa

Last but certainly not least, Lotsa. Stone fired pizza at its finest. I love Lotsa because they serve personal sized pizzas catered to your cravings. YOU get to choose what goes on your pizza. This means you can create a new pizza creation EVERY DAY (okay, that might be excessive but come on, I LOVE pizza). Fast, customized, efficient, and conveniently located in Towson. You’ll want to be sure to check this place out

Breakfast Spots For the “Morning Person” in All of Us

Weekends are meant for sleeping in. Especially depending on the night you had before (you know, like staying up until 1 a.m. watching Live PD). But that shouldn’t mean you have to miss out on breakfast just because it ends at 10 a.m. Am I right? If you’re anything like me, you love breakfast foods but hate the idea of having to be a morning person to get some. So, here are some of my favorite breakfast spots that will still allow you to get your beauty rest:

iron-rooster

1. Iron Rooster

Homemade Pop-Tarts for the win! I LOVE this place. They have THE BEST breakfast food AND it’s served all day, every day (see our 5 Iron Rooster Breakfast Items You Just Have to Try Yourself). Their homemade pop-tarts come in different flavors of the day and are perfect if you’re in the mood for something sweet (or take one for the road, I won’t tell your diet). The crab hash is an incredible mix of lump crab meat, asparagus, home fried potatoes, red peppers, bacon, poached eggs, old bay, and chipotle hollandaise. Trust me, your tastebuds will be thanking you after this one. Did I mention you get a free mason jar of bacon just for checking in on Facebook? Yeah. This place is hard to beat when it comes to breakfast in my book.

shirleys.jpg

2. Miss Shirley’s

I couldn’t write about breakfast places and not include Miss Shirley’s Cafe. Seriously, I’d be doing a disservice by not mentioning them in this post. They have a plethora of delicious breakfast items ranging from Coconut Cream Stuffed French Toast all the way to a Crab Cake and Fried Green Tomato Eggs Benedict. Miss Shirley’s Cafe in Baltimore is incredibly popular and it isn’t hard to see why.  So even though you may like to sleep in, it might be in your best interest to start the day early so you don’t miss out on an opportunity for a delicious breakfast.

bagelsandlox

3. Towson Hot Bagels (THB)

A true staple to Towson and the surrounding area. Towson Hot Bagels, otherwise known as THB. Nothing beats a ham, egg, and cheese on egg bagel on a mid-Saturday morning. Or if you’re like me and sometimes you can’t get out of bed until after 11 I recommend trying a Show-Off on a bagel. It’s a true classic of THB and makes for the perfect late breakfast/early lunch.

rise.jpg

4. Rise Biscuits Donuts

Rise Biscuits Donuts is new to the Towson/Timonium area but it has easily become one of my favorite spots. Not to mention, the line that stretches out the door each Saturday morning speaks to their success. Rise is a great place for someone who’s on the go. They’ve really mastered quickness and efficiency all while producing delicious donuts and biscuits. So, if you’re looking to grab a nice sausage egg and cheese biscuit or maybe a dozen donuts and climb back into bed, Rise is the place for you.

5. First Watch

First Watch is the best place to go if you’re trying to eat healthy and clean (you know, the kind of eating you tell your friends you’re doing to prepare for bikini season). All jokes aside, First Watch really is the definition of a healthy breakfast spot. They use all fresh ingredients and offer a delicious brunch menu. Did I mention they have a juice bar? It’s the perfect spot and even the picky eaters can find something they like on the menu too! Be sure to try their Floridian French Toast – it’s AMAZING.

6. The Corner Pantry

Located just north of Mt. Washington, The Corner Pantry is one of the best places for a casual breakfast or a quick grab and go coffee when you’re on the run. The food, coffee, and ambiance are a great mix of British inspired specialties. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. so be sure to set your alarm for this one! Or gather up your friends and stop in for their Saturday Brunch!
